The Macular Degeneration in base of the age (DMAE)  is the main cause of blindness in the developed world. The short wavelength light may be a risk factor and this is happening much earlier than we thought

Recent research of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) Medical Center  in Germany have allowed to know  something completely unknown before with amazing conclusions, almost 4% of the people of the analysis (age: between 35 and 44 years ) suffered symptoms of AMD, something unknown before It used to be associated with much higher ages. In the study where 4320 people have participated, 12% of those people tested with age from 35 to 74 years olds had DMAE.
