A recent research by the University of London has shown that the use of tablets by children between the ages of six months and three years reduce their sleep hours disturbingly. The result of the study specifically states for each hour children spent on the screen, their night-time sleep was reduced by 26 minutes and they took longer to fall asleep.
If you have kids, they probably spend more than an hour a day exposed to the harmful light emitted by electronic device screens. Have you noticed them with discomfort in their eyes? Beyond the visible symptoms, the increasing use of digital screens in schools poses great risks to the students’ eye health.
We all know the importance of prevention from the risks of harmful light emitted from device screens, but only a handful of people have taken action. The problem is not to understand the situation, it’s what you do about it.
New experiments presented at Cambridge University showed that, in only 3 months exposed to tablets like the ones we use every day, laboratory animals lost 23% of their retina cells. But, what does this mean?
We at Reticare are concerned about the risks associated with macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in the world. The high levels of exposure is the reason Reticare exists today, to help protect people from this toxic light. One of the main objectives of Reticare is to protect children and teens. It is our duty to be responsible for future generations and prevent their health from irreversible damages that can destroy their life. Its development is based on more than 14 years of research with more than 140 scientists in the fields such as optometry, optics, ophthalmology and medicine, in collaboration with leading experts in consumer electronics and mobile technology
