September 9, 2013 Reticare launched its first presentation at Ritz Carlton-Madrid, an historical day for world-wide technology. Together with Reticare, the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM), scientific researchers and ophthalmologists presented the latest in-vitro experiments that showed human retina cells died off massively when exposed to direct LED light. The consequences of such discovery can affect humanity, globally. However, when filters that absorb light frequencies are applied, the survival rate of cells increase exponentially. A large audience of people from various industries attended the launch, which received a wide coverage by the media.
January 23, 2017 released its presentation at the Harvard Real Colegio Complutense (RCC) in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA). Along with two Nobel Prize Winner advisors for Reticare, researchers and journalists, the results of the new experiments that were presented, further confirmed the results from the 2013 experiments with animals. The presentation analyzed and compared the results of exposing the retina of rats to tablet screens emitting white LED light with and without filters, proving that light causes cell death in the retina, and can lead to loss of vision.
The results from this presentation showed a quantitative analysis that after only three months of exposure, animals exposed to tablets experienced approximately a 23 percent increase in retina cell death. On the other hand, when Reticare filters were placed on screens of the tablets, there were no retina cell death. These results demonstrate that there is a world-wide issue which can be overcome with a simple solution like Reticare filters.
January 17, 2017 presentation of experiments at the center for the Distinguished Medical Association of Madrid. With more than 70 scientists, medical doctors, representatives from institutions of Spanish National Association for the Blind and from the Madrid local government, two concepts that were concluded was that the animal studies changed the way we conceived the effects of light from screens and the confirmation of high toxicity of screens effecting the retina. It was also demonstrated that children were at higher risk and received three times more light than adults, due to their physical anatomy, when using the same device.
